Our Fire Wardens have been trained to extinguish fires. Now you can receive the other side of the training: sparking a fire using different methods and in all sorts of weather. Survival expert Tim MacWelch will share his best fire building tips and techniques, including historic and low-fantasy fire starting methods. Learn to burn in all weather conditions, stage fuel types efficiently, process tinder for increased flammability, and ignite fuel using four different techniques. Weather permitting, you can try magnifying lenses to create embers from sunlight. In all weather, you'll get a chance to work with real flint & steel sets (and charcloth), old-fashioned matches, and ferrocerium rods.
